Welcome to the website of the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry/Psychotherapy Ulm.
The mental illness of a child or adolescent is a major challenge not only for the child or adolescent, but also for their family. Our aim is to provide help and support, to understand, educate, treat and accompany patients and their families as best we can.
It is particularly important to us that mentally ill children and adolescents are not marginalised, but remain part of the community. "Belonging" was not only the motto of the XXXV Congress of the German Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Ulm in March 2017, but is also our guiding principle in the treatment and support of our patients. You can follow current activities to improve the participation and inclusion of children and adolescents with mental health problems or traumatisation under #dazugehoeren.
In addition to the clinical area, we also have an extensive research area and deal in particular with child protection issues such as maltreatment, sexual abuse, neglect, traumatisation, but also with specific child and adolescent psychiatric issues such as self-harming behaviour. Of course, legal issues in the areas of family law, social law, social compensation law and juvenile criminal law are also part of our research and activity profile.
