We specialise in clinical and healthcare research. We are interested in all aspects of psychiatric and psychosomatic diagnosis and treatment as well as structural issues relating to psychiatric care and its quality. We focus in particular on the topics of patient autonomy and patient rights and research into the history of psychiatry. We carry out third-party funded projects, participate in multi-centre studies and supervise numerous medical and psychological dissertations. The clinic is part of the Mannheim - Heidelberg - Ulm site of the German Centre for Mental Health (DZPG) and is involved in its own research projects.
