Dear visitors
Thank you for visiting the homepage of the nursing service at Ulm University Hospital, the largest hospital between East Württemberg, the Swabian Alb, Lake Constance and the Allgäu.
The "We" from the nursing mission statement stands for professional and highly qualified nursing care at Ulm University Hospital. We offer this to all patients who require treatment in hospital due to impaired health. Every year, over 1,500 nursing staff care for around 50,000 inpatients and around 290,000 outpatients in our 29 clinics and 15 institutes.
Medical, nursing and technical progress, demographic developments, higher demands on the quality of care and patient safety, as well as changing expectations on the part of patients pose new challenges for nursing care. For this reason, continuous and future-orientated further development and qualification based on the latest nursing science findings is necessary.
Ulm University Hospital not only focuses on training at the Academy for Healthcare Professions, but also invests in the further development and qualification of nursing staff. The University Hospital supports its employees and offers numerous opportunities for further education and training. We cooperate with the Baden Württemberg Cooperative State University in Heidenheim to academise nursing for our nursing practice.
It is our endeavour to continue to meet the high quality standards for successful medical and nursing care at Ulm University Hospital in the future.
To this end, we have already developed and implemented a number of programmes:
- A leadership development programme for managers
