The gynaecological outpatient clinic is often the first point of contact for our patients. As an emergency outpatient clinic, it is staffed around the clock (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) so that we can provide emergency gynaecological care at any time. It is also the first point of contact if your gynaecologist recommends an additional examination. Your gynaecologist will therefore usually refer you to our gynaecological outpatient clinic for further diagnostics and treatment planning. We treat patients with benign or malignant changes to the female genital tract as well as complex or treatment-resistant gynaecological diseases.
Contact & Appointments
Diagnostics and therapy
The first step is a detailed discussion about your symptoms and the reason for your outpatient visit, as well as an assessment of the course of your illness to date. Please bring all current examination findings with you to your appointment. After the consultation, we will carry out a medical examination on the gynaecological examination chair and an ultrasound examination of the uterus and ovaries. Depending on the condition, further examinations are then initiated or a personalised treatment plan is drawn up for you. The experienced outpatient doctors are in constant contact with our clinic director and our senior physicians so that every patient can be referred directly to the relevant specialist if necessary.
In the event of special questions, you will be referred to one of our clinic's specialised consultations as part of your further care. Our top priority is to ensure that you receive the best possible care, specially adapted to your clinical picture.
As we also treat emergencies in addition to regular gynaecological consultations, there may sometimes be long waiting times. We apologise for this. You can be sure that we will take plenty of time for you and your individual complaints.
Our network
As a university clinic, the entire interdisciplinary network of Ulm University Hospital is available to us for holistic care and treatment. If necessary, other specialist disciplines can be involved at any time in cooperation with the gynaecological clinic.
