Diagnostics and therapy

The presentation in our consultation is usually the first contact with gynaecology. As girls are in a particularly sensitive phase of their development, a great deal of time, empathy and understanding is required here. Children and young girls require special techniques for careful examination, suitable instruments and specialised ultrasound. Parents are involved in the examination and treatment, especially in the case of young children. We take the time to listen to the concerns of the child and parents in a calm atmosphere.

We carry out diagnostic measures such as vaginal smears, vaginoscopy, colposcopic assessment or transabdominal ultrasound if required. In individual cases, we develop specific treatment concepts for our young patients together with the UniFee Hormone Centre of the Women's Clinic and the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
