I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. On the following pages I would like to inform you about the services offered by my clinic in patient care, research and teaching. The clinic has a motivated team of specialists for the surgical treatment of all congenital and acquired heart diseases in adults. The independent Thoracic and Vascular Surgery Section, under the medical direction of Prof. Bernd Mühling, specialises in the surgical treatment of diseases of the lungs, chest and blood vessels.
