Philosophy
At the centre of our efforts is an individual consultation and treatment tailored to the specific conditions of each patient. We develop an optimised surgical or combined conservative/surgical therapy concept for the patient in an interdisciplinary manner. In doing so, we take particular account of the patient's age, existing concomitant illnesses and personal circumstances. For example, a 60-year-old patient with the same underlying disease and no serious concomitant illnesses often requires a different treatment strategy than a person in their eighth decade. Detailed discussions with the patient, if necessary involving their relatives and family doctor, are a matter of course for us. Modern cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery with all its facets is carried out in high-tech functional units and with state-of-the-art equipment. For this very reason, we consider it our special task not to go beyond the limits of what is reasonable and sensible for the patient, but to offer therapy concepts that focus on the individual and their quality of life.
