At the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, we offer children and adolescents comprehensive and high-quality university medical care. We also offer a wide range of services to provide the necessary care and counselling during and after their stay at our clinic. University medicine means providing patients with the best possible care based on the latest knowledge and at the same time developing this knowledge for future application - this is what our more than 400 employees work around the clock to achieve.

The aim of our work is to achieve the best possible treatment results based on the latest diagnostic and therapeutic concepts. All relevant specialities are represented at our clinic. We have a high international reputation in the areas of bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, tumours, leukaemia and blood diseases, immunodeficiencies, neonatal and premature infant medicine and hormonal diseases with diabetes. Other areas of specialisation include cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, kidney diseases and cystic fibrosis. Neuropaediatrics specialises at an international level in research and patient care in the areas of neuromuscular diseases and metabolism, and is certified as a gene therapy centre for spinal muscular atrophy. We have set up mother and child units in almost all of our new buildings.
