In order to achieve an optimal result in implantology, it is important to create a safe, reproducible treatment plan with the patient in order to eliminate misunderstandings and problems in the run-up to the operation. This also includes appropriate preliminary examinations of the oral cavity and x-rays.
According to Section 28 (2) SGB 5, implantological services including dental prostheses on implants may not be subsidised by the statutory health insurance funds.
An exception is made for rare indications listed under special situations in accordance with Section 92 (1) SGB V.
