Illness and accidents often have a far-reaching impact on your life and that of your loved ones.

The staff at the Social Counselling Service will support you in solving problems caused by illness or disability that affect your life psychologically, physically, professionally and financially.

Our aim is to work with you to develop individualised help for your personal situation. In addition to medical and nursing treatment, we provide counselling on topics such as

Rehabilitation

We will discuss with you the options for follow-up treatment, oncological rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, family-oriented rehabilitation, paediatric rehabilitation and occupational rehabilitation and inform you about the benefits provided by the funding bodies. We will be happy to submit the applications together with you.

Care after discharge

We want you to be well cared for after discharge, which is why we will clarify this for you and with you: The care provided by outpatient nursing services or specialised outpatient palliative care (SAPV), the organisation of nursing aids, meals on wheels, home emergency call, inpatient care in a nursing home, short-term and day care, admission to a hospice.

Social law

We can advise you on social law issues relating to income (sickness benefit, transitional allowance), long-term care insurance, the law on severely disabled persons and statutory care and help you with applications.

Psychosocial counselling

We support and advise you on coping with illness, problems in the family and partnership, the workplace and future prospects, addiction and crises.

Counselling

We will provide you with addresses of counselling centres, self-help groups, early intervention centres, etc. If necessary, we will put you in touch with them.

The staff of the social counselling service work closely with all other professional groups inside and outside the clinics and are bound by legal confidentiality.
