The Institute of General Practice represents the expertise of outpatient, primary medical care in teaching, research, patient care, further education and training at the University of Ulm. As a clinical-practical institute, we are in direct contact with the specialised fields at Ulm University Hospital and in particular with the GP colleagues working in the catchment area. The focus of our activities is the GP care of people in their social and family context in the continuum of health and illness. Our aim is to make the breadth of general practice and the potential of GPs' coordination and control functions visible in the midst of highly specialised medicine. We are committed to equal access to healthcare and successful cooperation with other specialist disciplines and healthcare professions.
