As part of our Ulm initiative to promote primary care in rural regions, "ULI@Land", we developed the concept in collaboration with the Ostalbkreis district and students from the General Practice track:
^{Famulaturplus} is our new, customised programme for medical students from the fifth semester onwards. The programme takes place from 02.09. - 02.10.2024. We offer a total of 10 students the opportunity to gain practical medical experience in a group, expand their specialist knowledge and enjoy the wide range of leisure activities on offer in the Ostalbkreis region together. The Ostalb district and Kliniken Ostalb gkAöR offer medical students financial support in the form of scholarships. The aim is to counteract the increasing shortage of doctors in rural areas and to inspire medical students to work in rural areas at an early stage. The aim is to ensure that medical care in the Ostalbkreis district remains comprehensive and as close to home as possible at a high level of quality in the future.
