The post-infectious fatigue outpatient clinic at Ulm University Hospital is the central point of contact for the care of people with post-infectious fatigue and sees itself as a link to the care provided by contract doctors in the Ulm area. The aim is to organise the care of those affected more effectively through intersectoral and interdisciplinary processes. Treatment is based on the criteria of evidence-based medicine. In organisational terms, the Fatigue Outpatient Clinic is located at the Institute of General Medicine.
Focal points
The four departments of general medicine, neurology, psychosomatics and sports and rehabilitation medicine manage the new care services at Ulm University Hospital in a joint board structure and are available for consultation to referring doctors and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment.
If necessary, the patient is presented to the interdisciplinary board of the four specialist areas of general medicine, neurology, psychosomatics, sports and rehabilitation medicine - or, depending on the symptoms, an appointment is made directly with a consultation in a specific specialist area.
Appointment request
An appointment at the Fatigue Outpatient Clinic requires a doctor's referral and can only be made online. In order to get an idea in advance and to be able to better assess the urgency of the appointment request, we ask that the referring practice / institution (part 1) and you as the patient (part 2) answer the questions. You can find the questionnaire here. Please send the completed questionnaire to the fax number 0731 500-1257913. Depending on your symptoms, we will decide which offer we can make you and contact you by e-mail.
The Institute of General Practice Ulm is a member of the Baden-Württemberg Long/Post-COVID Competence Network. Together with the Institutes of General Medicine at the University Hospitals of Freiburg, Heidelberg and Tübingen and regional partners, we are developing a state-wide care concept for long/post-Covid. The aim is to improve medical care for people with long/post-Covid.
