Motivation
As the CCCU Patient Advisory Board, we want every voice to be heard, which is why we have quoted our reasons and the added value we see in our work on the CCCU Patient Advisory Board.
Ralf Rambach (initiator): "Many people who have overcome cancer want to give something back."
Norman Roßberg: "The patient is an empowered person and should therefore be increasingly involved in decision-making processes and actions. Of course, this is certainly more difficult for the patient after a cancer diagnosis than in other situations. Nevertheless, I would like to mention the terms patient empowerment and shared decision making, which are unfortunately not always taken into account in relation to a patient's life and self-determination, but are nevertheless of great importance and should be taken into account. In my experience, patients themselves become 'experts' during their illness."
Tanja Vetter: "We have to fight cancer together with the patient!"
Renate Prinzing: "Through our commitment, we want to contribute to improving the quality of life of patients with cancer."
Armin Frey: "If you're going to be a patient, then do it properly: informed, self-determined and empowered."
