Project description
An investigation into the impact of social media on the development of adolescents with and without maltreatment experiences: While for most young people social media use is unproblematic, there is evidence that it can have negative consequences for certain groups. This study aims to find out how young people who have experienced child maltreatment use the platform TikTok compared to young people without maltreatment experience, identifying online risk behaviours and how these relate to young people's wellbeing and possible re-victimisation.
