Dual pilot structure for clarifying unclear diagnoses in Centres for Rare Diseases / ZSE-DUO
The aim of the new form of care is to improve the treatment of people suspected of having a rare disease and thus increase the proportion of confirmed diagnoses.
In the ZSE-DUO project, 11 centres for rare diseases in Germany, the Allianz Chronischer Seltener Erkrankungen Achse e.V and health insurance companies are working closely together.
The project is funded by the Innovation Fund of the Joint Federal Committee.

Project information
Patients without a confirmed diagnosis and suspected of having a rare disease who are at least 12 years old.
Only patients with statutory health insurance can be included in the project.

The "Collaboration on Rare Diseases" (CORD-MI) use case is a joint project comprising the four consortia of the Medical Informatics Initiative, in which numerous German university hospitals and partner institutions are involved. The aim is to improve care and research in the field of rare diseases.
