TheClinic for Nuclear Medicineand theClinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologycombine their clinical and scientific activities in the Centre for Imaging for your benefit.

Examination and diagnosis using the latest imaging methods, as well as minimally invasive therapy procedures, are carried out jointly and allow a rapid, targeted determination of the optimum treatment for you.

Your professors

Ambros Beer and Meinrad Beer

Interdisciplinary cooperation

  • Interdisciplinary training: Dual specialist programme, rotations between CT - PET/CT and MRI - PET/MR.
  • Cooperation with the central ultrasound department (joint sonography centre of the Clinic for Internal Medicine I and the Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology)
  • Joint participation in tumour boards
  • Research and training projects as part of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre Ulm (CCCU)

Your advantage

  • Centralised appointment allocation
  • State-of-the-art combined radiological and nuclear medicine imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT, image fusion PET/CT and MRI)
  • Joint image analysis and reporting

Special offers

  • PET/CT and PET/MR with targeted tracers for e.g. dementia diagnosis (amyloid scan) or prostate carcinoma diagnosis (PSMA scan)
  • Minimally invasive therapy procedures, e.g. SIRT (selective internal radiotherapy) for malignant liver tumours
  • MRI and CT of the heart
  • High-resolution multi-parametric imaging of the prostate including MR spectroscopy
  • PET/mpMR of the prostate for PET/mpMR-TRUS-guided fusion biopsy
  • targeted molecular radionuclide therapies including PSMA therapy, PRRT and radioimmunotherapy with 90Y-anti-CD66-mAb

Research

Our diverse scientific activities in the field of the further development of molecular imaging and therapy methods, in co-operation with our clinical partners, make an important contribution to medical progress. This enables us to continue to guarantee excellent clinical care at the highest level for our patients in the future.

Our focus areas include the development of new radiopharmaceuticals for molecular imaging and therapy, multiparametric hybrid imaging with PET/MR and tumour metabolism analysis with innovative MRI methods (MR spectroscopy, MR perfusion measurements, diffusion-weighted imaging). Find out more here.

Apprenticeship and training

Interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary training is particularly important to us, as in the Radiology-Nuclear Medicine dual specialist programme. We would be pleased to inform you about our programme here!
