Ulm University Hospital has concluded a cooperation agreement with Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences and has been able to use places in the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences' "Kinderinsel" day care centre since 1 July 2010. The allocation criteria are the same as for the clinic's own day care centres; if you are interested, please use the clinic's usual registration form for the crèche (you can find it here) and note by hand that you are (also) interested in a place in Neu-Ulm.

Information about the Kinderinsel

The Kinderinsel offers, among other things

  • flexible opening hours, also after 5 pm and at weekends
  • care by the hour
  • childcare in integrative groups with a mixed age structure
  • a maximum of ten children with at least two carers per group
  • exclusively qualified specialised staff
  • Additional services: Catering, early musical education, language support, scientific support,
    Homework support, tutoring and holiday care
How much does childcare at the Kinderinsel cost?

You can apply for public funding for childcare at the Kinderinsel from your local youth welfare office. You will receive funding for your children if you are a parent or single parent who is unable to look after your children yourself. The childcare time must be at least 15 hours per week.

For parents who live in Neu-Ulm, the cost contribution corresponds to that of the municipal crèches and kindergartens/day nurseries, depending on the age of the children. For parents living in Ulm, income-related contributions apply for all day care centres. The exact amount will be calculated for you by the responsible youth welfare office. This requires information on the financial circumstances of your family
. Only standard care is subsidised. Individually agreed services such as additional childcare hours, meals, evening or Saturday care must be paid for privately. Details and a price list can be found on the information page linked above
