How can I enrol?
Please complete the application form and send it to the daycare centre department, Ms Mödinger, Staudingerstraße 2, 89081 Ulm or by email to bianca.moedinger@uniklinik-ulm.de. You will then receive a confirmation of receipt and further information as soon as we are able to offer you a place.
The places for the hospital and the medical faculty are allocated according to a points system that takes into account, among other things, the working hours of the parents at the hospital/the medical faculty, shift work, siblings in the institution and single parents.
Submitting the application does not entitle you to a place in the crèche.
You are welcome to visit our crèche. Please telephone 0731 500-69100 to make an appointment in advance.
If you have any questions about the waiting list or the allocation of places, please contact Mrs Mödinger on 0731 500-69141.
How much are the fees?
The monthly fee for childcare in the crèche and kindergarten is based on the income of the legal guardian(s). The decisive factor is the total gross family income earned by the legal guardians from January to December in the calendar year prior to admission to the centre.
The fee is set for the first time on admission to the centre and is recalculated annually. The fee also includes all catering costs.
The following applies for 2021:
Annual gross family income | Day nursery contribution |
---|---|
up to 40 TEUR (minimum contribution) | 145,00 € |
> 40 TEUR - 75 TEUR | 340,00 € |
> 75 TEUR - 100 TEUR | 510,00 € |
> 100 TEUR - 135 TEUR | 700,00 € |
>135 kEUR (maximum contribution) | 760,00 € |
Special contribution for single parents/trainees | 130,00 € |
If two children from the parent/guardian's household attend our childcare facilities at the same time, the contribution for the second child is reduced by 10%. If three or more children are being cared for at the same time, a 10% reduction is granted for all children.
Further information can be found in the crèche and kindergarten regulations.
All beginnings are difficult - not only for the children, but also for the parents.
Admission to the crèche is a big change for both child and parents. For you as parents, this means that you are initially placing your child in unfamiliar hands - perhaps for the first time. Your child will be faced with a new daily routine with new people and a new environment. To make the transition as easy as possible for you and your child, we attach great importance to a gentle familiarisation process that lasts several weeks.
During this time, the teachers in the group gradually build up an intensive relationship with your child. During these days, your child will need your help: the presence of a familiar person (mum, dad, grandma, etc.) will give your child the security it needs.
Please plan enough time for the first few weeks to accompany your child.
How we see your child
From the very beginning, we see your child as a personality who endeavours to shape his or her own individual development.
We see your child as discovering and exploring its environment:
- inquisitive, competent, smart and clever
- active and self-directed
- courageous and curious
- communicative and sociable
- Emotional - sometimes happy and carefree, sometimes vulnerable and sensitive
Through our pedagogical approach, we offer your child the experience of security, reliability and trust.
We treat your child
- Appreciative and respectful
- lovingly, empathetically and sensitively
- consistently and authentically
- with joie de vivre and humour
We observe and learn more about your child's individual needs.
We have confidence in your child's abilities and consciously take a step back.
We interact with your child and are present as a contact person and confidant.
Constantly reflecting on our attitude and being aware of our role model function forms the basis of our pedagogical actions.
Our goals for your child are orientated towards the formative areas of development in early childhood. It is our task to create space and time for the child to enable individual developmental steps and experiences.
It is particularly important to us
- that your child develops a positive self-image, learns how to deal with their own strengths and weaknesses and experiences their first sense of belonging.
- that your child feels, hears, sees, smells and tastes a variety of sensory experiences.
- that your child enjoys movement, thereby building up a relationship with their own body and training their motor skills.
- that your child enjoys language and expands its vocabulary, linguistic understanding and ability to express itself.
- your child experiences freedom and accepts boundaries.
Hand in hand
Not only your child, but also you as parents should feel comfortable and safe in the daycare centre. That is why a trusting and cooperative partnership in the interests of your child is very important to us.
Our work with parents includes
- Conversations, such as the initial conversation before settling in, the conversation after settling in, daily door-to-door conversations, development conversations and the final conversation when leaving the crèche.
- Development documentation, portfolios
- Parents' evenings
- Parties, singing and play afternoons
- observation visits
- Open communication with the parents' council
Each group has its own group room with adjoining bedroom and bathroom.
- Our crèche also has the following rooms:
- the gourmet corner with children's kitchenette
- three spacious hall areas
- the flexi room and
- the paddling pool room
There is plenty of space to play, jump and move around in our large garden. In the summer and autumn months, our garden invites the children to snack: we grow delicious cherries, various types of currants, raspberries, apples and grapes.
