The Department of Trauma Surgery specialises in the treatment and care of childhood injuries. Broken bones and injuries to soft tissue and tendons are treated in an age-appropriate manner. Severely injured children are cared for and treated together with the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. Depending on the type of fracture and the age of our young patients, we use the most modern, minimally invasive and gentle procedures to stabilise bone fractures. Our paediatric ward at the Centre for Surgery ensures that mother and child are in good hands.
