We are pleased to be able to offer you nutritional counselling as a special service to accompany your treatment. The nutritional counselling and the associated consultation hours are offered by Ms Buck, a state-certified nutritionist / dietician. Mrs Buck works as a nutritionist exclusively in the Radiotherapy Clinic.
In principle, nutritional counselling is offered to all our patients in order to discuss the often difficult issues of optimal nutrition. If necessary, Mrs Buck will draw up precise nutritional plans to accompany the radiotherapy. In order to ensure that this special nutritional advice is implemented during radiotherapy, which can sometimes last up to 8 weeks, you will be seen by Mrs Buck every week during consultation hours.
In addition, Mrs Buck also offers special dietary advice if acute reactions occur during radiotherapy. In this way, possible acute reactions to radiotherapy can be optimally counteracted.
As a patient with certain illnesses, you will be offered the opportunity to make an appointment with Mrs Buck before the start of radiotherapy. If you are interested in a personal consultation or an appointment with Mrs Buck independently of this, you can call Mrs Buck directly as our patient at 0731/500-56159 at any time.
The staff will advise you on follow-up treatment, social legislation (e.g. the importance of disability cards) and solutions to problems with care after discharge from hospital.
Our colleagues in the Department of Psychology offer supportive psychological counselling, support and short-term psychotherapy for inpatients and outpatients with tumours who are suffering from illness-related emotional stress. Please speak to your attending physician if you would like to take advantage of psycho-oncological support.
