Quality management

Ulm University Hospital is a member of the 'Initiative for Quality Medicine (IQM)', a cross-organisational initiative of hospitals with the aim of improving the quality of medical treatment for patients.

To continuously improve the quality of medical treatment and patient safety, the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy III organises weekly clinical case conferences in addition to mortality and morbidity conferences (M&MK), in which the appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedure for each individual patient is discussed by a multidisciplinary treatment team. In addition, we organise multi-professional quality management conferences (QM circles) at regular intervals, which aim to improve process quality as well as patient safety.
