By signing an elective doctor agreement, you will receive personalised care. The main services are provided by the elective doctor or the respective deputy during your inpatient stay. The elective doctors are primarily the medical directors of the respective clinics.

Please clarify your scope of services with your health/supplementary insurance in advance. You will be invoiced directly in accordance with the GOÄ/GOZ (scale of fees for doctors/dentists). It is not possible to bill your health/supplementary insurance directly for elective medical services.

As an elective service patient, you will be treated as a private patient during your inpatient stay at Ulm University Hospital. With elective services, you benefit from the personal expertise, special qualifications and many years of experience of our elective physicians. The professional specialisation is used to respond to you individually. Your treatment is continuously and individually characterised and managed by the elective doctor.

If you would like to see a doctor of your choice other than those listed on the elective services agreement, please contact the relevant secretary's office. Treatment by any doctor employed by us can be arranged there in writing in addition to the elective services agreement.

If you would like to make use of our elective medical services, please let us know when you are admitted as an inpatient or contact the relevant office in advance.

We would like to point out that elective medical services are not included in every insurance tariff. It is therefore always advisable to contact your insurance company and clarify whether the costs will be covered.
