The Pain Centre is the organisational framework for increased interdisciplinary cooperation between clinicians and scientists involved in the care of patients suffering from pain and/or working in the field of pain research.
Focus of the centre
In addition to the training and further education of medical and non-medical staff, the focus is on the promotion of clinical studies and basic research in the field of acute and chronic pain. The data collected will be used to establish diagnostic and therapeutic principles for the diagnosis and treatment of pain patients, which should ultimately be accessible to all affected patients and doctors.
