Division management
Ward 7 is equipped to carry out stem cell and bone marrow transplants in children of all ages, especially young children. The ward has 7 beds, 5 of which are in special treatment units for smaller children, 2 in single rooms with special equipment to protect against infection. The team caring for the children consists of experienced and specially trained paediatric nurses and paediatricians who have many years of experience and work exclusively in the field of transplantation. The ward is managed by paediatric transplant doctors.
You can get a visual impression of the ward in our photo gallery.
Serious acute or chronic illnesses fundamentally change life. Affected families have to deal with many new challenges, a completely different everyday life, medical language and feelings of fear and threat.
The psychosocial team accompanies and supports patients and their families during treatment and aftercare. We take into account their questions, needs and concerns, as well as their strengths and abilities. Our team of employees from different professional groups offers a wide range of support during this time:
Psychological support
Educational counselling
Art therapy
music therapy
Pastoral care
Social services
