Endometrial scratching

Endometrial scratching", in which a small injury is made to the uterine lining, was seen for a while as a way of improving the implantation rate in fertility treatment. Unfortunately, the data on this can no longer confirm this. However, we still use this method in some cases, for example to rule out chronic inflammation of the uterine lining (endometritis) by removing tissue from the uterus.
