Cycle monitoring involves monitoring the formation of follicles with ovulation and the transformation into the corpus luteum using ultrasound diagnostics and hormone monitoring during the cycle. This makes it possible to precisely recognise egg maturation and ovulation and to check the function of the corpus luteum. The corpus luteum is important for the implantation of the egg and the course of early pregnancy. Monitoring the cycle and determining the optimum time for sexual intercourse often helps to achieve the desired pregnancy. The hormone analysis should ideally be carried out early in the day so that we receive the results on the same day.
This cycle monitoring can be supplemented with hormone therapy to support egg maturation. This hormonal therapy can be carried out in the form of tablets or injections, an "ovulation trigger injection" (ovulation induction) is often recommended, and the second half of the cycle can also be supported with progesterone.
We can determine the success of hormonal stimulation using ultrasound and blood tests. We will clarify the right form of treatment for you in a personal consultation.
