In the natural so-called spontaneous cycle, the chances of pregnancy with regular sexual intercourse are around 20 per cent. In other words, the chance of pregnancy within a year with regular unprotected intercourse is around 80 per cent. However, the probability of pregnancy is influenced by various factors; a relatively large influencing factor is the female age, so that the chances of pregnancy in the natural cycle are highest between the ages of 20 and 30.
