Teaching is a top priority for us. As an integrative cross-sectional subject, geriatrics can do a lot to ensure that students are already familiarised with topics that they will need in many specialist areas in the clinic during their studies. In the seminar, students learn the basics of medicine of old age and the elderly, hear about the stethoscope of geriatrics, the geriatric assessment and also carry out parts of it themselves. In the lectures and seminars organised by the clinical partners, more basics are taught, always with a clinical focus.
