Continuing education networks in the Ulm region

We are committed to well-functioning training networks that enable high-quality and varied training in general practice. As the university representative of the KWBW (Baden-Württemberg Competence Centre for Further Training), we support and advise our cooperation partners in clinics and contract doctors' practices in providing an interesting, coordinated further training programme in general practice.
If you have any questions about further training, please contact us: kwbw.allgemeinmedizin@uniklinik-ulm.de.

In the Ostalbkreis training network, the three clinics Ostalb-Klinikum (Aalen), St. Anna-Virngrund-Klinik (Ellwangen), Stauferklinikum (Mutlangen) Schwäbisch Gmünd and numerous outpatient contractual partners offer further training for doctors specialising in general medicine. All members of the Ostalbkreis general practice training network are KWBW cooperation partners and therefore support participation in the seminar training. Details and an exemplary rotation plan can be found in the profile and on the websites of the clinic and the district administration office.

In cooperation with Heidenheim Hospital, the Heidenheim District Medical Association has relaunched the Heidenheim General Practice Training Network in 2022. The hospital favours a multi-year inpatient training period with rotations through various departments. The district medical centre offers a wide range of further training opportunities with various outpatient contract partners. As KWBW cooperation partners, numerous practices and the Heidenheim Clinic support participation in the KWBW seminar training programmes. Details and an exemplary rotation plan can be found in the profile and on the Heidenheim Clinic website.

The "General Practice Training Campaign" was founded in October 2023 with the aim of strengthening medical care in the district of Göppingen. The contractual partners in the inpatient sector are the Alb-Fils-Klinik and Christophsbad. In the outpatient sector, there are nine general medical practices, one paediatric practice and one surgical practice to choose from. Applications are submitted via Dr Klaus Metter (head physician at the Centre for Internal Medicine at the Alb-Fils-Klink) for the inpatient area or Marc Lux (GP practice in Heiningen) for the outpatient area. The coordination of the rotations and additional offers is organised by the service centre of the Göppingen health authority. Details can be found in the profile.
