Project description
Interdisciplinary professionals who work with young families in the early help programme have a great opportunity to provide them with timely, individual and tailored support and, if necessary, to refer them to further help and services in the local early help network.
Promoting the relationship and parenting skills of (expectant) mothers and fathers is a central focus of interdisciplinary cooperation between professionals. To do this, the professionals need attachment-based (action) knowledge as well as observation skills in order to assess the respective quality of parental behaviour in dealing with the child and, if necessary, to distinguish appropriate behaviour from dysfunctional behaviour.
As part of the project, a two-part, three-hour online training course for early help professionals is therefore being developed and trialled. The aim is to further educate and train professionals in the field of early intervention so that they can validly assess the quality of the interaction between child and parent.
A pre-post evaluation with the participants of the training programme is intended to check the effectiveness of the training programme
