Our breast centre has been ensuring the quality of treatment for years through independent auditors and internal quality management. We have many years of experience and state-of-the-art equipment. We use the latest, quality-assured methods in diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation and adapt the treatment plan to your individual situation. We do everything we can to provide you with the best possible care. For example, the certificate from the German Cancer Society and the German Society for Senology confirms that we meet all the criteria of a high-quality breast centre.
High level of expertise and many years of experience
Prof. Dr Wolfgang Janni is a nationally and internationally recognised expert in the field of senology (diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases) and is involved in the further development of standards and guidelines. He is a member of the S3 Guidelines Commission on Breast Cancer of the German Cancer Society and is spokesman for the Breast Organ Commission of the Association of Gynaecological Oncology (AGO), which publishes annually updated recommendations on the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer as well as a patient guide.

An internationally recognised breast centre in the heart of Ulm!
At the joint breast conference, we work with colleagues from radiology, pathology, radiotherapy, haematology/oncology as well as registered doctors and mammography screening doctors to develop an individual treatment recommendation for each patient based on the latest research.
The interdisciplinary breast centre is one of the certified organ centres of the Tumour Centre Alb-Allgäu-Bodensee (Comprehensive Cancer Centre Ulm, CCCU). In the case of breast cancer, our patients benefit from the extensive experience and comprehensive work of the Tumour Centre - one of 14 "Oncological Centres of Excellence" in Germany, which are certified by German Cancer Aid for their excellent performance in tumour treatment and tumour research.
The CCCU's weekly interdisciplinary breast conferences take place on Thursdays in the Women's Clinic.
Certified breast centre
Our breast centre has been certified by the German Cancer Society and the German Society for Senology since 2003. This certificate demonstrates a particularly high level of expertise in the comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and counselling of patients with breast cancer. Personalised care based on the latest scientific knowledge is at the centre of our work.
Certified quality management system
The centre's quality management system is audited by ClarCert and meets the requirements of the international standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

All surgeons at our centre have a high level of expertise, many years of experience and special qualifications in the field of breast surgery:

Breast surgeon approved in breast centres with a high level of surgical expertise (at least 50 breast operations performed on breast cancer patients per year). - Certified breast surgeon (AWOgyn)
Highest honour awarded by the Society for Reconstructive Surgery in the field of breast reconstruction and breast surgery.
