The Central Emergency Department has been a central facility of Ulm University Hospital since 1 January 2020.
It is headed by Prof Dr Thomas Datzmann.
A qualified team of trauma surgeons and hand surgeons is always available for accidents and injuries at the Centre for Surgery. 2 state-of-the-art shock rooms enable us to treat seriously injured patients at any time in accordance with the White Paper for the treatment of seriously injured patients published by the German Society for Trauma Surgery. The treatment of severely injured patients is a team effort together with the Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. Participation in the German Trauma ^Register© serves to ensure quality assurance in the trauma room.
