Protestant hospital chaplaincy

We are a team of four pastors who have been appointed by the Evangelical State Church to serve as hospital chaplains at Ulm University Hospital. As a rule, we are out and about on weekdays in the clinics of the respective area of responsibility and visit the wards. We can be contacted at any time, even in the evening and at night in urgent situations. At weekends, a member of the chaplaincy team is always on call and can be contacted around the clock.
If you would like a visit, you are welcome to call us directly or ask a member of staff on the ward to contact us. The contact details of the chaplain responsible for your clinic can be found under the heading "Chaplaincy in the clinics".

In the event of a pastoral care emergency, you can reach a hospital chaplain at any time on the following number

The visiting service supports patients during their hospitalisation. The volunteer men and women take time to listen and talk, to be quiet or to go for a walk.
A volunteer visiting service for internal medicine, surgery and the RKU is currently being set up.

If you are interested, please contact:

Playing a game of Uno, painting and crafting together, reading a favourite story, building with Lego, talking and listening, soothing in your arms, simply being there ... and much more happens when the women and men of the visiting service come to the children's hospital. They bring their time, their openness and empathy, their creativity and discretion.

This is how the visiting service supports families on a voluntary basis during their stay in hospital: when parents need time for appointments and errands, for siblings, for a walk or simply for a break from the hospital room.

The visiting service comes on request and in direct consultation with the parents. If you would like to be accompanied by the visiting service, you are welcome to contact the staff on your ward or the hospital chaplains Christa Leidig (0173 349 24 33) and Adelheid Bläsi (0173 349 2537) directly.

You can also find us directly on the website of the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine under"Information for patients".
