Experimental cardiovascular MRI group (ExCaVI): Our expertise includes imaging from the small animal model to clinical application especially in the field of thoracic and cardiac imaging. All our available positions will be in a highly interdisciplinary environment including cooperation with local, national and international groups. ExCaVI is located within the University Medical Center of Ulm University. Access is granted to a clinical whole-body 1.5T system and an experimental whole-body 3T system. Both systems are equipped with latest state-of-the art hardware including 32-channel receive coils. Further access is granted to a small animal 11.7T system equipped with cryocoils and dedicated receive coils for thoracic and cardiac imaging.

Within the experimental cardiovascular imaging group and the core facility for small animal MRI there are always interesting research topics for interested students from natural sciences and electrical engineering available.
