In current dental diagnostic and therapy, MRI does only play a niche role for e.g. assessment of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and in oral oncology. It is the objective of this project to evaluate the potential of MRI for classical dental applications like caries and periapical lesion diagnosis and classification.
