Im Verbundprojekt SURGE-Ahead wird eine mobile, interaktive Anwendungssoftware (Dashboard), zur Verbesserung des geriatrischen Co-Managements in chirurgischen Kliniken entwickelt. Durch Einbezug geriatrischer Expertise rücken die besonderen Bedürfnisse älterer PatientInnen stärker in den Fokus, was zu einer Verbesserung der Behandlung von der Aufnahme bis zur Entlassung beiträgt. Das Dashboard soll sowohl evidenzbasierte Handlungsempfehlungen für die perioperative Behandlung als auch einen, mittels künstlicher Intelligenz generierten, Vorschlag für die bestmögliche Nachsorgemöglichkeit anzeigen. Das System soll im stationären Betrieb das gesamte, multi-disziplinäre Team unterstützen.

Während der ersten drei Projektjahre stehen die Definition des benötigten Input-Datensatzes, die Entwicklung des Dashboards und Integration der Empfehlungen als Output im Vordergrund. Hierbei wird das Projektteam durch ein internationales Expertenboard unterstützt. In einer abschließenden einjährigen Testphase wird das Dashboard in drei chirurgischen Kliniken des Universitätsklinikums Ulm (Unfallchirurgie, Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie, Urologie) erprobt und anschließend finalisiert.

engl: In the SURGE-Ahead collaborative project, a mobile, interactive application software (dashboard), is being developed to improve geriatric co-management in surgical hospitals. By incorporating geriatric expertise, the special needs of older patients come more into focus, which contributes to an improvement of treatment from admission to discharge. The dashboard is intended to display both evidence-based recommendations for action in perioperative treatment and a suggestion, generated by artificial intelligence, for the best possible follow-up option. The system is intended to support the entire, multi-disciplinary team during inpatient operations.

During the first three years of the project, the focus will be on defining the required input data set, developing the dashboard and integrating the recommendations as output. Here, the project team is supported by an international expert board. In a final one-year test phase, the dashboard will be tested in three surgical clinics of the University Hospital Ulm (trauma surgery, general and visceral surgery, urology) and then finalized.

TRADE ist eine Studie zur Delirreduktion und Verbesserung der Kommunikation an den Schnittstellen durch strukturierte Informationen von Vertrauenspersonen und Angehörigen bei Verlegung. Für das Projekt TRADE arbeitet ein multidisziplinäres Expertenteam aus den Bereichen Medizin, Pflegewissenschaft, Public Health, Gesundheitsökonomie, Biometrie und Gerontologie zusammen mit praktischen Versorgungsexpertinnen und -experten zum Beispiel in Krankenhäusern, Einrichtungen der Langzeitpflege und Rehabilitation sowie von Krankentransportdiensten. Die Projektleitung liegt bei der AGAPLESION BETHESDA KINIK ULM. Der Innovationsausschuss des Gemeinsamen Bundesausschusses fördert dieses Forschungsprojekt.

TRADE is a study on delirium reduction and improvement of communication at the interfaces by structured information of trusted persons and relatives at transfer. For the TRADE project, a multidisciplinary team of experts from the fields of medicine, nursing science, public health, health economics, biometrics and gerontology is working together with practical care experts, for example in hospitals, long-term care and rehabilitation facilities and ambulance services. The project is managed by AGAPLESION Bethesda Ulm.

PromeTheus ist eine multizentrische Studie zur Überprüfung eines multidimensionalen Programmes, das ältere, zuhause lebende und zunehmend gebrechliche Personen adressiert. Ziel ist es mittels eines Trainingsprogrammes, welches sich über 12 Monate erstreckt und zum Eigentraining anleitet, Pflegebedarf zu verhindern oder zu reduzieren. Bei Bedarf können weitere Komponenten wie Teilhabe-, Pflege-, Ernährungs- und Wohnraumberatung vermittelt werden. Zudem besteht das Ziel, Personen in Gruppen zu vermitteln, um Vereinsamung entgegen zu wirken und Teilhabe zu fördern. Die Projektleitung liegt bei Prof. Dr. Kilian Rapp und dem Robert-Bosch-Krankenhaus Stuttgart.

engl: PromeTheus is a multicenter study to test a multidimensional program that addresses elderly people living at home and increasingly frail. The aim is to prevent or reduce the need for care by means of a training program that extends over 12 months and instructs selftraining. If necessary, additional components such as participation, care, nutrition and housing counseling can be arranged. In addition, the goal is to place people in groups to counteract loneliness and promote participation. The project is managed by Prof. Dr. Kilian Rapp and the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart.

Ehrenamtliche Seniorentechnikbotschafter:innen, von unserem Team fortgebildet, unterstützen auf dem Weg der Digitalisierung im Alltag. Neben Führungen und Beratungen in unserer neuen Active Assisted Living (AAL) Musterwohnung mit allerhand digitalen und analogen Alltagshelfern (u.a.  smartes Türschloss, Bedienhilfen für Tablets, seniorengerechte Handys) gibt es auch Fortbildungsangebote für Unternehmen und Firmen, die digitale Hilfsmittel entwickeln. Durch ein eigens entwickelte Bewertungsmatrix werden die Hilfsmittel auf Herz und Nieren wissenschaftlich geprüft. Nur fancy, oder auch von Nutzen? Volunteer senior technology ambassadors, trained by our team, provide support on the path to digitization in everyday life. In addition to guided tours and consultations in our new Active Assisted Living (AAL) show apartment with all kinds of digital and analogue everyday aids (including smart door locks, operating aids for tablets, cell phones suitable for seniors), there are also training courses for companies and firms that develop digital aids.
