The Depart­ment of Gene The­rapy is currently work­ing in the rese­arch areas of soma­tic gene the­rapy and neu­ro­de­ge­ne­ra­tive disea­ses.

In the field of gene the­rapy we are inte­res­ted in the deve­lo­p­ment and appli­ca­tion of vec­tor tech­no­lo­gies to treat and pre­vent gene­tic or acqui­red disea­ses.

In the field of neu­ro­de­ge­ne­ra­tive disea­ses we focus on Hun­ting­ton’s and Alz­hei­mer’s disease.
